Recyclables Accepted Free of Charge

Although the Recycling Center currently receives the most volume of its recyclables from the curb and containers located at city grocery stores, numerous other items may be dropped off at the center free of charge.

Types of Recyclables

• Paper: colored office paper, junk mail, magazines, newsprint (everything that comes with a Sunday paper), books, telephone books

• Plastics: #1 and #2 plastics only (pop and water bottles, milk jugs, laundry detergent, shampoo bottles)

• Cardboard: corrugated (brown boxes), cereal boxes, etc.

• Metals: non-ferrous (pop cans), ferrous (tin cans & angle iron), steel pipe

• Foam Rubber (carpet padding, couch cushions)
